                                                      Memories

Over the years we have loved and lost dogs that we have been proud to have part of our family.  After all these years even to look at these photos brings a tear to our eyes but there is such love in our hearts.  We hope you enjoy catching just a glimpse of what these dogs have meant to us.

Tara

Taffy

Rosie

Tara came to live with us in January 1974 from Peter and Robyn Van Haastran's Tirriki Kennels.   She was a constant companion and playmate for our four children.  During the hunting season she proved she could do what she was bred for by hunting and  retrieving with flair and enthusiasm.  She lived to the ripe old age of 15  but continues to live on in our hearts and memories.

Taffy's 'posh' name was Aust Ch. Laugharne Edwards ET.  He was always a bit of a larrikin at obedience preferring to keep a watchful eye out for birds or any possums that might be lurking in a near by tree than concentrating on his lessons.
Taffy romped through his Endurance Test with enthusiasm and joy in his heart.
In the conformation ring his main claim to fame was winning Best In Show at the Clare All Breeds Championship Show in 1998.

At an early age Rosie decided she had no need for her 'posh' name (Laugharne Ambrosia) when it was decided that she would be a stay-at-home girl. She devoted her life to bringing joy and happiness to the family.  This photo was taken when, to be honest, we were both 'young things' - she did live a long and happy life being a loving companion to all members of our family.
